Nate Landman, Class of 2017, was one of the Bay Area’s standout high school football players. He excelled at linebacker and tight end for the Mustangs, recording more than 160 tackles, 15 sacks, and four interceptions while contributing over 1,000 receiving yards across four varsity seasons.  As a senior in 2016, Landman helped lead Monte Vista to a 12–1 record, an undefeated 8–0 league campaign, and the CIF North Coast Section Division I championship. His exceptional performance earned him East Bay Athletic League Most Valuable Player and East Bay Defensive Player of the Year honors, along with selections to the MaxPreps All-NorCal and California Large School All-State teams.

Landman continued his football career at the University of Colorado, where he became one of the most accomplished linebackers in program history.  He recorded 409 tackles, including 285 solo tackles, 41 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks in 48 games.  He earned All-Pac-12 honors four times, including first-team selections in 2019 and 2020.  That same year, he led Colorado with 137 tackles. In 2020, Landman recorded 61 tackles and 10 tackles for loss, earned second-team All-America honors from multiple organizations, and was named a semifinalist for the prestigious Dick Butkus Award.  He finished his University of Colorado career ranked first in 4th down stops, tied for fifth in total tackles and ranked second in career solo tackles.

Following the 2022 NFL Draft, Landman signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent.  He emerged as a key defensive player in 2023, recording 110 tackles, two sacks, an interception, and three forced fumbles.  He continued to establish himself as a dependable starting inside linebacker in 2024, before joining the Los Angeles Rams in 2025.  In his first season with Los Angeles, he started all 17 regular-season games and recorded a career-high 132 tackles, 2.5 sacks, six passes defended, and four forced fumbles. He also started all 3 playoff games that season.  His preparation, communication, and playmaking ability earned the respect of his teammates and coaches.  He was named a team captain in his first season with the Rams and again in 2026, reflecting his strong leadership skills and positive influence on the team.
