Information about where students should report for their exam, and what they need to bring, will be sent via from MVHS 2-5 days prior to the exam date. - ACT for 12th grade students: Saturday, October 18th at San Ramon High School
ACT-related questions should be directed to assessments@srvusd.net. The registration confirmation email that you receive mentions that you will receive a follow-up email from SRVUSD in early October, which includes detailed logistical information for the test at San Ramon Valley High School. - PSAT/NMSQT for 10th and 11th grade students: Saturday, October 18th at Monte Vista
Information about where students should report for their exam, and what they need to bring, will be sent via from MVHS 2-5 days prior to the exam date.
IMPORTANT:
Students must bring and use their district-issued Chromebook for these tests. We provide loaners only in the instance there is a technical emergency during the exam. It is the student's responsibility to make sure that their device is fully operational ahead of time. This includes being able to quickly connect to school wifi, holding a charge, having a functional keyboard and screen, as well as a charger. We strongly advise students to submit a tech ticket as soon as they become concerned about the functionality of their device. We cannot predict how quickly tech support staff will be able to address issues as we approach test days.

We strongly suggest that students who sign up to take AP exam(s) plan their spring opt-in activities according to the AP testing schedule. If students miss a regularly scheduled testing date for a reason other than illness or a school-sponsored athletic/academic content, they will not automatically be approved to take the exam during the Late Testing window. Students who are ill on testing day are required to provide a doctor's note in order to rescheudle their exam to the Late Testing window.
Please click here to access detailed instructions on registering for AP exams, applying for accommodations, and other important details.
Reminders:
- Since we use an outside vendor, APTS, to process the fees, there are TWO steps for students to complete. If both are not completed, students will not be able to take an exam.
- Students who have 504 or IEP accommodations at school must still request approval through CollegeBoard. Accommodations from these plans do not automatically transfer over from school to CollegeBoard. Follow this link to begin the process facilitated through SRVUSD. Students who already have accommodations approval from a prior exam (SAT, AP, PSAT), do not need to re-apply.
- All AP exams are now partially or fully digital and we require our students to bring their district-issued Chromebook and charger on their test date. It is the student's responsibility to make sure their device is fully funcitonal at least 2 weeks prior to testing. For tech support, the student should contact district tech support.
SRVUSD high schools are NOT able to accommodate students from outside of our district boundaries to take AP exams.

STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT ENROLLED IN AN AP COURSE AT MV:
You will register as a "Self-Study" or "Exam Only" student. You will pay for the exam FIRST and then email acorritone@srvusd.net to request an "Exam-Only" Join Code.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the outside institution provides the student with a JOIN code, not an EXAM code to access their course materials. If they use a JOIN code, students can take the exam at MV. If they have an EXAM code, they cannot.
For Self-Study students taking the AP Computer Science Principles exam, SRVUSD can provide an exam seat for the multiple choice portion of the exam ONLY. If you need support with “the create performance task” submission via AP Digital Portfolio, you must work with the organization (school) where you took the AP Computer Science Principles course.
SRVUSD CANNOT accommodate Self-Study exams for these AP courses:
-
- AP 2-D Art & Design
- AP 3-D Art & Design
- AP Drawing
- AP Research
- AP Seminar
LATE TESTING
LATE TESTING![]()
LATE TESTING
Occasionally, circumstances make it necessary for students to test late. COLLEGE BOARD has a pre-determined schedule for late testing.
SRVUSD will be holding AP late exams on Friday, May 22, 2026 even though that is a non-school day for SRVUSD.
Students must get prior approval from the AP Testing Coordinator to be placed on the late testing list in order for us to ensure the student will be able to access the exam on the later date. Examples for acceptable reasons include participation in a school-sponsored athletic or academic competition, conflict with another AP exam scheduled at the same time (due to accommdations or coincidence), or a serious illness. Proof of illness in the form of a doctor's note must be provided if the student wishes to register for a Late Exam.
Pro tip for student-athletes who play a spring sport on an MVHS team: REGISTER NOW if you plan to take the exam, even if there is the potential for a date conflict with playoffs later. Conflicts with non-MVHS club sports contests or other non-school sponsored competitions do not qualify a student to reschedule their exam for late testing. Plan ahead using the dates that are advertised.
Due to our finals schedule and facility usage, Monte Vista will NOT be holding "exception testing" after the CollegeBoard's late testing window.
