The Stampede was established in 1965 as Monte Vista High School’s student-run newspaper. Each semester students put together and publish multiple editions of the newspaper, culminating with the end of the year production of The Hoofprint magazine.
With platforms on
INSTAGRAM and
TWITTER, along with its own website, print editions, and broadcasting team, the journalism program at Monte Vista is dedicated to sharing important news and information with the greater Monte Vista community. The journalism program gives its members the opportunity to be published as well as having the chance to compete for awards in a variety of competitions.
