Please read the following information carefully. Since we use an outside vendor, APTS, to process the fees, there are TWO steps for students to complete. If both are not done, students will not be able to take an exam.

MVHS and SRVUSD high schools are NOT able to accommodate students from outside of our district to take AP exams.

Have you heard the buzz about Digital AP Exams? All SRVUSD high schools are implementing Digital exams in some subject areas. Digital exams will be facilitated through the student's district-issues Chromebook, using CollegeBoard's secure portal, which will be pushed out to each Chromebook by the district's technology department.

In Spring of 2023, CollegeBoard is offering digital testing in the 7 subjects listed below. Monte Vista's plans for administering digital testing are as follows:

  • Computer Science Principles - Traditional Paper / Pencil
  • English Language and Composition - Digital
  • English Literature and Composition- Traditional Paper / Pencil
  • European History- Digital
  • Seminar- Digital
  • United States History- Traditional Paper / Pencil
  • World History: Modern - Digital

ALTERNATE / LATE TESTING DATES

ALTERNATE / LATE TESTING DATES

Occasionally, circumstances make it necessary for students to test late. COLLEGE BOARD HAS VERY SPECIFIC, ACCEPTABLE REASONS FOR LATE TESTING and students MUST get prior approval from the AP Testing Coordinator in order to be placed on the late testing list. Students cannot register for these exams on their own. Examples for acceptable reasons include: participation in a school-sponsored athletic or academic competition, conflict with another AP exam scheduled at the same time (due to accommdations or coincidence), or a serious illness. Proof MUST be provided to register for a Late Exam.

To preserve the security of AP Exams, alternate forms are used for late testing. All students who participate in late testing at a given school MUST take these alternate exams on the scheduled late-testing dates at the scheduled times (see below).

Special materials must be ordered for late testing, so notification is required or the student may not sit for the exam. REGISTER NOW if you plan to take the exam, even if there is the potential for a date conflict later (i.e. playoffs, etc).
